Reweaving the Unraveling World

In this presentation, Kathleen Dean Moore, award winning author and formerly Distinguished Professor of Environmental Philosophy at Oregon State University, explores why the environmental emergencies we face are not just scientific or political crises, but moral catastrophes that call for a moral response. She offers reasons why we have an obligation to leave a future as rich in possibilities as our own, and how to transform moral conviction into personal and collective action, finding how to live with purpose and gladness in a rapidly unraveling world.

Presented at the SSAFE general meeting on Thursday, April 2nd, 2026.
