We’re excited to share that SSAFE is now an official affiliate of Beyond Plastics, a national organization dedicated to ending plastic pollution.
This partnership strengthens our Reducing Waste: Plastics workgroup’s efforts and connects us with a wider network of resources, expertise, and advocates working to reduce single-use plastics. In the coming months, we’ll be working with Beyond Plastics to develop educational resources for SSAFE members. These resources are designed to help chapters engage their communities and build momentum around reducing plastic waste.

1. Join the SSAFE Reducing Waste: Plastics workgroup:
The SSAFE Reducing Waste: Plastics Workgroup brings members together in a shared effort to reduce plastic waste and promote sustainable alternatives across SSAFE communities. Members share best practices, identify actionable strategies, and develop practical resources to help craft a blueprint for cutting plastic waste across our communities.

🎟️ Access Level: SSAFE members only. Roster-only meeting. All SSAFE members are eligible to attend but must request to be added to the roster.

2. Sign-up for the Beyond Plastic Pollution 7-week course:
Beyond Plastic Pollution is taught by Beyond Plastics president and former US EPA regional administrator, Judith Enck each fall and spring. Class meets on seven consecutive Wednesdays from 7:00-9:00 PM ET (4:00 – 6:00 PM PT) via Zoom.
