During these sessions, George will introduce the work of SSAFE and highlight how residents in senior living communities are advancing sustainability initiatives and helping their communities move toward a lower-carbon future.

He will also explain why early resident involvement and buy-in are essential for successful sustainability projects. Because these initiatives are ultimately funded through resident fees, engaging residents early in the planning process, along with open discussion of financing and project goals, helps build understanding and support while avoiding obstacles and distrust later.

Other panel participants represent Wagman Construction and Stonehouse Group, bringing additional perspectives from the fields of construction and sustainability consulting. Together, the panel will explore how sustainability initiatives can strengthen communities and serve as a distinguishing feature for forward-thinking senior living organizations.

SSAFE is grateful to George for representing the organization and for sharing the important work of SSAFE chapters with the broader senior living community.
