LeadingAge is holding its Annual Meeting & EXPO in Philadelphia from October 25–28, and they’ve extended a warm invitation to SSAFE members to attend.
LeadingAge, based in Washington, D.C, a national association of nonprofit and mission-driven organizations that provide care, housing, and support services for older adults across the United States.
SSAFE has been in discussions with LeadingAge to determine how we might work together to promote sustainability at all CCRCs. Since LeadingAge’s membership is made up largely of CCRC administrations, this relationship gives us a direct line to the people who make operational decisions at these communities. We’ve seen firsthand that when residents and administration are aligned and working closely together, so much more gets accomplished on sustainability initiatives.
If you’ve ever wanted to connect with the broader aging-services field, learn what’s new, and represent SSAFE in an informal way, this could be a wonderful chance to do it. Since travel plans need lead time, we wanted to get this in front of you sooner rather than later.
